About Watts Electrical
Serving Albuquerque with honest, reliable electrical work since day one.
Our Story
Watts Electrical was founded by Chris Martinez, a licensed electrician who grew up in Albuquerque and learned the trade from the ground up. After years of working for larger contractors across New Mexico, Chris saw a gap in the market — homeowners and small businesses needed a local electrician they could actually trust: someone who showed up on time, explained the work clearly, and stood behind every job.
He started Watts Electrical with a single truck and a commitment to doing things right. Word spread fast. Neighbors referred neighbors. Local contractors started calling. What began as a one-man operation grew into a full-service electrical company serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients across the greater Albuquerque area.
Today, Watts Electrical handles everything from panel upgrades and new construction wiring to solar connections, EV charger installations, and 24/7 emergency response. The company has grown — but the values haven't changed. Every job gets the same attention to detail and the same personal accountability that Chris brought to his very first call.

"I started this company because I believed Albuquerque deserved an electrician who treated every job like it was their own home. That's still how we operate — every single day."
